James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally … and it shall be given him.”

            We all need wisdom.  What better place to go for it than to the fountainhead of pure Knowledge and infinite Wisdom, God.  Before we make a decision, before we take a step in any direction, we are wise if we turn to our Heavenly Father for inner guidance.  It shall be given to us.

            James reminds us that God brought us forth “of his own will … with the word of truth.”  This is true of all humankind.  Every living creature is here because it is God’s will to express through each.  This truth is implanted in our hearts.  Moment by moment we let the very nature of God think through us, act through us, speak through us.

            God is wisdom.  Today we let the Spirit of wisdom guide us.  God knows what is best for us, for our country, for our world.  “The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers.”  (1 Peter 3:12)

            Shall we pray together?  Dear God, this is my prayer.  I desire only your will, your wisdom expressing through me, through our nation and its leaders, through the whole world.  I turn to you prayerfully every moment of this day, knowing your wisdom is guiding me; your love is preparing the way.  Your way is the path of peace and abundance for all.

            Our spiritual thought for the day is:  I ask for and receive wisdom from God.  Thank you, dear God.
