Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

           Mark 2:14 “Follow me.”

Jesus spoke these words but the spiritual side of each person responds to this call.  The Christ of Jesus is ever beckoning to the Christ, the Divine Spark, in you and me.

To follow him is to have unwavering faith in our Father God.  Jesus Christ taught by his actions and words.  When we consider Jesus’ way of life, we find that his constant contact with his (and our) Father in heaven was through prayer.

To pray unceasingly, as Paul suggested, we must keep our minds consciously focused on God until the pattern is set.  Then, unconsciously, our thoughts are always tuned to Him.  We become centered and poised in the power of God.  We become creative and recognize fresh, new ideas.  Our thoughts and actions are constructive.  Our hearts are ever open to Him and we are directed to serve wherever He needs us.

We know definitely that we are a part of God.  The service we give is the result of our developed faith, developed because Jesus Christ invited us to follow him.

Today, we give our attention to the continuing truth that we are enfolded in God’s strength.  We are cleansed in His love.  We are kindled in His light.

Our spiritual thought for the day is:  I choose to follow God for his way is wonderful!
