Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Mat. 21:9 “The multitudes … cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David:  Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”

Palm Sunday is thought of as a triumph in Christianity; Good Friday as an unforgivable tragedy; and Easter as proof of the divinity and immortality of Jesus.  But truly, Palm Sunday is deeply significant of each one’s ultimate triumph over fear, and their serene confidence in their immortality.

We, too, must make the decision that, however dangerous a principle-inspired act may be for our immediate comfort and security, we will follow the heart’s instruction, made known to us in prayer: to live as though we are immortal spirit – as Jesus assured us that we are.  “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)

What a great joy to contemplate the blessed truths that Jesus’ life brought forth for us!  We become reassured that nothing is fearsome as long as we keep ourselves centered on the fact that we live, move, and have our being in God.

Our spiritual thought for the day is:  "Dear Father God, I am now and forever one with thee.”
