Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Psalm 126:5 “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”

When inner tension and frustration build, or sadness or hopelessness seems to overcome our heart, tears sometimes flow – anger sometimes rises.  It’s then that we need to stand still and declare that God is in charge of our life.  As we relax, we begin to feel His joy sweep over us.

If we are disappointed in someone we trusted, or if values that we thought were secure prove unworthy, we might momentarily be discouraged.  But then we remember Jesus’ words, “In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer!”

If we are tempted to become resentful, if we feel we must condemn ourselves or another, we stop for a moment and stand firm in our Father.  We center ourselves in Him.  His mighty power is ever-loving, and we clothe ourselves in His joy.

If we are tempted to doubt our decisions or actions, or if we are fearful, we listen to our Father’s kind words and let His healing tones fill our being.  We feel the warmth of His blessing and we are lifted.

As we place ourselves and our affairs in God’s Hands, we know the glorious truth that God supports us – and nothing is too much for Him.

Our spiritual thought for the day:  No matter the sadness of yesterday, today, with God’s help, I meet life with joy.
