Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Mat. 6:8 “Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.”

Speaking as the mouthpiece for God, Isaiah said, “Before they call I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”  God assures his children that He has already answered their prayers.  His children have no need to beg Him for gifts.  They have only to believe and accept.

But what a hard lesson this has been for us to learn!  All the good we can ever need or want has already been prepared for us – like a trust fund in a bank being held until the proper time for its use.

We can, however, claim our good at this very moment, if we are prepared to accept it with understanding and gratitude.  But as long as we fail to trust our Father completely and fail to believe in His constant loving care, we deny ourselves His generous gifts.  We push away the blessings prepared for us since the foundation of the world.  It is time we stop our pleading and listen to what our Father has always been saying to us.

Dear God, since you have already answered, I immediately affirm your supply whenever a need arises.  When I make this my practice, I open the way for your blessings to come forth.

Our spiritual thought for the day:  Father, I accept the good you have already prepared for me.
