Ecclesiastes 7:14  “In the day of prosperity be joyful.”

          Our Heavenly Father expects us to be prosperous.  He has placed all good things within our reach and He wants us to enjoy them.  The old idea that a good person must be poor as a “church-mouse” is a mistake.  God’s abundance is meant for each one of us, that we might add joy to life.

          Shall we relax and get still for a few moments and just speak to God?

          This day I come to You, Father, with gratitude for all my blessings.  I thank You for health, and for Your love that protects me.  All Your gifts bring joy to the heart.  I give thanks for the lamp of direction You have placed at my feet and the Light of Understanding that surrounds me.

          I thank You for Your creative Mind within me, which reveals new ways of self-expression.  As I express the abilities and talents with which You have endowed me, I am rewarded with abundance.  I am thankful for the new ideas that are given to me and the opportunity to bring them to fruition.

          Each day is a day of prosperity.  I claim my abundance, Father.  I accept Your gifts with joy and put them to good use.  With expectations of success, I follow Your directions and I’m filled with satisfaction, joy and success.  I remain open and receptive so I may enjoy the good which You have for me.

 

          Our spiritual thought for the day:  I am prosperous and joyful in God today.
