Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Matthew 10:8 “Freely ye have received, freely give.”

Christmas is a time for the receiving and the giving of gifts.  We are all aware of the material gifts, the giving of things.  Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we each have an abundance of spiritual gifts to give.  They’re much more important than the material gifts.

How to give these gifts of love, of faith and joy and peace?  When we truly are centered in the inner spirit, we know that as we celebrate the birth of Jesus we are also celebrating a rebirth of the Christ Child within, the awareness that we are spiritual beings with abounding spiritual gifts.  Then we can let these gifts radiate forth in our lives at every moment and in every place.

We give these gifts mainly without words.  We let love flow out, silently, to encompass the whole earth as we pray.  When we are with others, we let there be the same kind of radiating of love without anyone knowing.  We give joy in a greeting, in a smile.  We maintain the inner peace of Christmas no matter how confusing the situation is outwardly.

Let us give away spiritual gifts throughout our days, with every breath.

Our spiritual thought for the day is:  I am a channel for the outpouring of God’s spiritual gifts into the world.  Thank you, beloved Father.
