1 John 4:10 "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us."
Out of God’s great love for humankind has come the festival of Christmas. The birth of Jesus brought that Love into the world. Each year we celebrate it anew.
As we rejoice in the spiritual gift of love, let us take time to be still and to feel this Divine Love surrounding us. Divine Love is ever flowing into our hearts. This is a love which brings us peace, which calms our fears, which renews our hopes, which heals.
No matter what the situation, it can be healed by God’s love. Let us pray for healing; let us expect healing; let us give thanks for healing. The manifestation may come quickly or gradually. It may come through unexpected means. O, let us look for healing throughout these days before Christmas and afterward.
Let us stay alert for both outer and inner signs of wholeness in our lives, remembering that we are surrounded by God’s love always. This is a constant and eternal gift, and as we become more aware of it we see it more and more clearly in our lives.
Our spiritual thought for the day is: Today, I am surrounded and blessed by the Christmas gift of love. Thank you, dear God.
