Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

1 Peter 1:7,8 “Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.”

When we make note of every circumstance, however seemingly inconsequential, and every person who in any way contributed toward the realization an important goal, we can’t help but marvel at the ingenious ways of God who brought it all about. We are amazed how God overcomes what seem to be insurmountable barriers. Everyday we are given opportunities to acknowledge the glory of God’s work, which strengthens our belief.

God never fails us. We sometimes fail ourselves, but God forgives us. Why? Because He loves us. We may have walked the wrong path, but each moment is a new start. We need not dwell upon our yesterdays. Mistakes are guidelines for tomorrow. Feeling guilty is purposeful if it leads to a change in our behavior, but beyond its teaching value it is unproductive.

An antidote for guilt is prayer. This is a prayer by St. Theresa: “God never changeth; patient endurance attaineth to all things; who God possesseth nothing is wanting; alone God sufficeth.”

Our spiritual thought for the day is: Today, I move past any feelings of guilt. I won’t make that mistake again. I forgive and free myself to accomplish greater good than ever before. Thank you, dear God.
