Job 33:14 “For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.”
God is so patient with us. When He calls and we ignore Him, He calls again. What faith God has in His children!
The most effective way to hear the voice of the Lord is through frequent, heartfelt prayer. To hear God’s message we must empty our hearts and minds - open ourselves to Him, and listen.
Some people work too hard at prayer. Prayer is not an encounter. Tension defeats our purpose. Prayer is effortless. It’s like sitting in a boat anchored to the dock and relaxing with the movement of the water. We must give ourselves to God when we pray. As we do this, a sense of direction and a feeling of inner assurance are ours.
Our spiritual thought for the day is: Father, Mother God, you speak to me all the time. Today, I listen and feel guidance and peace in my prayers. Thank you, dear God.
