Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Mark 5:36 “Be not afraid, only believe.”

We sometimes become inhibited because of fears.  We limit the far-reaching effects of our abilities because of self-doubt.  We wonder how our ideas will be accepted. This attitude is a clear indication of our wavering faith.  If Jesus had been afraid to act according to his God-given authority, there would be no Christianity today.

Our problem is often in our unbelief … our unbelief in ourselves and our unbelief in what God can do in and through us.

To whom do we listen, God or man?  We must stand firm in our convictions.  Remember, God inspired ideas often come to us.  Share them.  Act upon them.  Believe in God and believe in yourself.

Edmund Burke once said, “No passion so effectually robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear.”  We are the vehicles through which God makes known His plan.  Are we hampering God in His desire to express?  We must capitalize upon these heaven-sent ideas and follow our intuition.  God gently leads.  Let us follow!

Our spiritual thought for the day:  Father, thank you for the courage to act on your inspiration.
