Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Psalms 33:2,3  “Praise the Lord … sing unto him a new song.”

Jesus claimed that any man coming after him could do the works that he did and even greater if he understood how to go to the Father, the Intelligent Mind that we call God.  He meant that we should claim, “I AM the resurrection and the life.”  He said, “My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.”

When we are awakened to this truth, we feel the stir of self-resurrection.  We ascend to a higher level of consciousness as we take our attention away from the trials of the world and keep it steadfastly on the God of all good.  “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,” saith the Lord to Zechariah.

We fail to do the works of Jesus because we attempt to work from our present level of understanding.  We need to cross out the negative beliefs day by day; dying to the old, resurrecting the true Christ spirit, putting on the new man in Christ.

Our spiritual thought for the day: Today, I remove my attention from the trials of the world.  I put on the new man by focusing on thoughts of God.  Thank you, dear God.
