Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Mark 11:9 “Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”

On Palm Sunday in many Christian churches, the traditional reading of the story of Jesus’ triumphal march into Jerusalem takes place. This journey may seem to be just an incident in the life of Jesus, yet the story is rich in spiritual importance.

However welcome to Jesus’ ears the hosannas of the spectators may have been as they spread the palm branches before him, this was not the real triumph of the journey.  There were deeper reasons which demanded that all of us march the same triumphant march.

Jesus was fulfilling the pattern of the ultimate Christ-man.  He was demonstrating the power of God operating within a soul that is completely unified with the Father.

Actually, we are all on this same journey as we go about our daily affairs.  This march into Jerusalem, spiritually speaking, is not confined to any place or any time.  The fulfilling of the ultimate ideal, the realization and release of our divine Sonship, will be enjoyed by everyone when the inner discipline required is carried out.

Our spiritual thought for the day:  I will be still and know that, through the image of God, the Christ within, I triumph over all circumstances.  Thank you, dear Father.
