Weekly Thoughts To Uplift And Inspire

Galatians 3:24  “The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ.”

Discipline begins when a child is very young and never ceases.  He finds rules for proper eating, sleeping, thinking, and for living harmoniously with others.  These come in the form of family discipline, school rules, and later on, social and business principles, and so forth.  In following these rules, the individual is free.  Civilization has developed in this way.

For many, the linking of spiritual values with principles and laws may be new and startling.  Perhaps they haven’t yet seen that there are laws and principles in every realm of God’s kingdom.  No one drifts or “just happens” into any knowledge of worth.  We enjoy the training and discipline that are necessary to any achievement.  Then have the same attitude in the unfoldment of spiritual knowledge and enjoy the effect as well as the fruits.

Within each one is the fullness of all good.  But potential power and joy are not enough.  We desire to know, to live, to enjoy the truth of ourselves – now.  Then this is our part in the scheme of things: we are to bring forth the divine Being within, and let the power of the Spirit be manifest in us as it was in Jesus.  Since no man climbs the heights alone, we will find many fellow travelers.

Our spiritual thought for the day is:  Dear God, I am thankful for the fellowship and friendship of those who are traveling with me spiritually.  Thank you, dear God.
