James 1:4 “Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
“Patience is power; with patience the mulberry leaf becomes silk.” (Chinese Proverb) We are often patient with those around us, but sometimes we forget to use the same patience with ourselves. If results seem slow in developing, we sometimes become impatient, unhappy, filled with doubt and apprehension. At these times it is well to think of the seeds which we plant in our gardens; we have faith that they will produce “after their kind,” and “in their season.” Tomato seeds produce tomatoes in their own perfect time.
Let us think of ourselves as spiritual gardeners, never limiting the fulfillment of our desires and dreams. Given time, they too will produce the perfect harvest. The Law of Life works silently in the invisible realm, but manifests in the visible world. Fear, doubt and impatience inhibit faith and keep our good from us. The secret of fulfillment health, happiness, supply, success consists in asking God for his help, doing everything we know to do, and then trusting Him patiently to do the rest.
Our spiritual thought for the day: Infinite Spirit is using my faith to bring forth my good desires and dreams. Thank you, dear God.
