Galatians 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God.”
We have within us the urge to do that which we have never done before; to find new friends, new knowledge, to see new places. We have the urge to attain beyond any present achievement the compelling urge to reach the heights.
The voice of our soul is ever urging us onward and upward. We often misinterpret this urge because we don’t understand it. Nevertheless, we will make no great strides into the deeper understanding of life’s values until we learn to listen and to obey.
Everyone has this inner voice. We might name it intuition, guidance, a hunch, or a new idea. The people who awaken to the inner Self see with new vision and “follow the gleam of an inner light.” They are certain to reach heights that lie beyond a sense knowing. They are listening to that within them which is one with God.
One reason why there are so many people who are restless, dissatisfied, and disappointed is that they have no bright and glowing objective before them, no star to which they can hitch their wagon. They are not climbing the heights, but now is the time when we must follow the inner urge of Life. What better time than early in a New Year?
Our spiritual thought for the day: The urge within me is the action of the Spirit. I gladly follow where it leads. Thank you, Father Mother God.
