“Do not take such a personal responsibility for yourself. There is a ‘living consciousness’ in us that knows its way.” Dr. Irwin Gregg
Every once in awhile we have to sit ourselves down and talk to ourselves like the proverbial “Dutch uncle.” We have to ask ourselves: Am I taking myself too seriously? Am I carrying burdens in thought that should have been discarded long ago?
When we let our thought roam out into the cosmic reaches, and respond to a feeling of pure joy at being alive in such a magnificent universe, how easy it is to laugh at ourselves. We approach each activity and each person, then, with the “light touch.” Our Heavenly Father wants us to ride the crest of the wave, not wallow in the mud. He wants us to keep our eyes on the stars. The Christ Consciousness, our soul identity, knows its way. His burden is light. When we are willing to learn this way and practice it, we sing and laugh and work and play with the “light touch.”
Our spiritual thought for the day: I am learning to laugh at myself. I practice the light touch while depending on God.
