Rev. 21:7 “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
“I thank God for my handicaps, for through them, I have found myself, my work, and my God.” Helen Keller
The challenge we face in life is not to bind us or keep us from our good. Instead, it is an opportunity to become stronger, to climb to new heights, to become what God conceived us to be. Thus, we must not be thrown for a loss by the problem we face, but use it instead as a steppingstone to the good that life is seeking to give us.
Helen Keller could have used her great handicap as an excuse to do nothing in life. But this was not the case. Instead of saying that life had abused her, she declared the opposite. She took the high road to her good, using her handicaps as a means of discovering her work, of finding herself, and of realizing God’s Presence ever with her. She became a symbol of courage, persistence, hope and patience to others. God certainly worked for her and through her.
This same Divine presence works for us as it is able to work through us. As we attune ourselves to God and His goodness, we are changed. Our challenge becomes a blessing and not a curse, and we go free.
Our spiritual thought for the day: Realizing that God is ever with me, I meet each challenge with courage and confidence that I will be victorious. Thank you, dear God.
